Kaboom Books is a used bookstore in the Woodland Heights just immediately above Downtown Houston.
For 30 years we had a succession of bookshops in New Orleans, in the back of the French Quarter. Now we are in Houston. Our purpose here is the same as it had been there, which is to provide an inventory of ideas and to act as a sounding board for social discourse within, now, the confines of Houston’s hundreds of neighborhoods.
If you tire of looking for books by sitting at home, hunched over your keyboard in your underwear, watching type trickle down the screen, come by and have a browse. Put something more on before you come though. As Lord Buckley said, “You can’t do anything without your pants on.”
